New Feature

Waybill

Added automatic waybill line creation based on customer and shipping agent configuration, including predefined package types and weight values.

The Shipping Manager module now supports automatic creation of waybill lines during waybill generation. A new setup table has been introduced that allows users to configure default package types and weights per customer, shipping agent, and shipping agent service combination.

Key changes:

  • New Setup Table: Contains Customer Number, Shipping Agent Code, Shipping Agent Service Code, Package Type, Gross Weight, and Net Weight as configuration fields

  • Automatic Line Creation: When a waybill is created from a sales order or warehouse shipment, the system searches for matching configuration records and automatically generates corresponding waybill lines

  • Default Weight Transfer: If weight values are specified in the setup, they are automatically populated on the waybill lines

  • Manual Override Capability: Users can manually adjust weights on waybill lines after automatic creation if needed

Impact:

  • Reduces manual effort in creating waybill lines

  • Improves data consistency across shipments

  • Allows flexible configuration per customer and service

  • Weight values serve as default maximums and remain editable post-creation

Target Users:

  • Warehouse staff creating waybills

  • Shipping managers configuring package defaults

  • Operations teams managing shipment documentation

Custom Tariff

Added a Unit Price field to the Custom Tariff Line table, inherited from the Sales Line.

We’ve added a new Unit Price field to the Custom Tariff Line table. This field is automatically populated from the corresponding Sales Line, ensuring consistent pricing data across sales and customs documentation. The field is editable and supports reporting and automation scenarios.

This enhancement improves data accuracy and reduces manual effort by ensuring that pricing information is consistently inherited from the Sales Line. It supports better customs documentation, reporting, and integration with external systems.

Improvements

Waybill

Warehouse users can create a waybill automatically when adding multiple packages from a shipment, streamlining the process and reducing manual steps.

This release introduces a more efficient workflow for warehouse operations. When users are working with a warehouse shipment and choose the “Add Multiple Packages” function, the system will now automatically create a waybill in the background. This eliminates the need to first manually trigger the “Create Waybill” function, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.

If a waybill already exists for the shipment, the new packages will be added to it. If not, a new waybill is created automatically. The feature includes a simple dialog box where users can enter the number of packages and optionally toggle the automatic waybill creation (enabled by default).

Bug Fixes

Weight

Fixed Shipping Manager weight fields on sales headers so they are updated correctly during line creation and modification, preventing doubled values.

In Shipping Manager, the ShippingManager weight fields on the sales header could show incorrect, doubled values when sales lines were created or modified.

This happened because header measurements were updated multiple times: once on insert and again on modify of the sales line, and in certain scenarios (e.g. IC line creation) both events were triggered, causing the weights on the header to be calculated twice.

The logic has now been refactored so that:

  • Weight calculation on line insert is handled at line level only.

  • Header measurement updates are performed in a single place during line modification.

  • Overlapping event subscribers have been consolidated to ensure the header is updated exactly once per relevant change.

With this change, the ShippingManager weight fields on the sales header are now calculated consistently and are no longer doubled on outgoing documents (including those shown via the Document Customizer app).

Custom Tariff

Fixed error when calculating customs tariffs from Transfer Orders in companies that don't maintain a Currency table record for their local currency (LCY)

When calculating customs tariffs from a Transfer Order-based Warehouse Shipment, users received the error: "The Currency does not exist. Identification fields and values: Code='[LCY]'" if their company did not have a Currency record for their local currency code.
Modified the GetAmountRoundingPrecision function to treat the local currency code the same as an empty currency code, using the General Ledger Setup's rounding precision instead of requiring a Currency table record. This aligns with standard Business Central behavior where local currency is represented by an empty currency code.
