Not all fields on an order are transferred between Intercompany Partners, and you may want to include standard or custom fields that are not part of the default transaction.
With Map Custom Fields you can configure up to 10 additional fields per Intercompany Partner to be transferred with the intercompany documents — both at the document header level and at the line level. With the optional Extended Custom Fields feature enabled, this limit increases to 50 fields.
Notes
- The setup must be done in both companies for each Intercompany Partner.
- Custom fields are only transferred from the Sales company to the Supply company — not in the opposite direction.
- Custom fields are transferred every time a document is released in the Sales company.
Step-by-step setup
1. Find the Intercompany Partner
Open the Intercompany Partner Card for the partner you want to configure.
- In the search field, type Intercompany Partner
- Click Intercompany Partner to open the list
- Find the partner you want to set up and click on the Code to open the card
2. Open IC Partner Custom Fields
From the IC Partner Card:
- Click Related
- Click IC Partner
- Click IC Partner Custom Fields
3. Set up the fields
For each field you want to map, add a new line with the following values:

| Direction | Outgoing in the Sales company. Incoming in the Supply company. |
| Record Type | The table to pick the field from: Sales Header, Sales Line, Purchase Header, or Purchase Line. |
| Custom Field No. | A number from 1 to 10 (or 1 to 50 with Extended Custom Fields enabled). The outgoing and incoming entries across the two companies must have the same number to be matched. |
| Field No. | The specific field from the chosen Record Type. Click the lookup arrow to select from the full list. |
| Field Caption | Filled in automatically based on Field No. |
| Validate | Whether any validation code on the incoming field should run when the value is applied. Only relevant for Incoming entries. |
Extended Custom Fields (fields 11–50)
By default, Custom Field No. is limited to 1–10. To use numbers 11–50, enable the Extended Custom Fields feature:
- In the search field, type Abakion Feature Management
- Open the feature list for the Intercompany app
- Enable Extended Custom Fields
Once enabled, you can map up to 50 custom fields per Intercompany Partner.
Note: This setting must be enabled separately in each company where you want to use fields 11–50.
