Roadmap Global Master Data Sync — Product Roadmap

Here's where Global Master Data Sync is heading. The next release lets subscriber companies request the master data they need instead of waiting for it, makes everyday navigation quicker, and tightens up what you see on the partner card. More consistent in-product guidance follows after that.

Next release In the next release (28.4)

Ready for release (28.4)

Subscribers can request the master data they need

Record selection becomes a two-way conversation. Where today the master company alone decides which records each subscriber receives, a subscriber company can now browse the available master data and request the specific records it wants. The master company controls which fields the subscriber sees when choosing, and the selected records synchronise automatically once the request is sent. Available for general ledger accounts, customers, vendors, items, dimension values and projects.

Faster navigation to the underlying data

Counts shown in the master data templates — such as the number of assigned sub-templates — become clickable, so you can drill straight through to the underlying records instead of navigating there manually.

A partner card that shows only what applies

The Azure Blob Storage settings on the partner card now appear only when that is the partner's chosen data exchange type, so the card reflects how the partner is actually configured rather than showing every option at once.

Also planned for 28.4 (in progress)

  • Longer field values synchronise — records are no longer skipped when a field value exceeds 250 characters

Later releases Planned for later releases (29.0)

More consistent in-product help

Field help is being standardised so every field carries the same clear tooltip wherever it appears across the app — making the product easier to learn and use.
