Release Summary

This release completes the 360° warehouse view: a new Warehouse Receipt Overview gives inbound receipts the same overview that outbound shipments already had, and receipts now carry the vendor's address details.

Scheduled posting of warehouse shipments is also more robust, and packages can now be managed directly from Warehouse Shipment lines.

New Feature

New Warehouse Receipt Overview for inbound receipts

Until now, Warehouse Manager only had an overview for outbound shipments. A new Warehouse Receipt Overview gives a worksheet-style view of inbound receipts, modelled on the Shipment Overview. It includes location and status filters, actions to open and process receipts, and totals for the receipts in view.

Why it matters: You can follow inbound and outbound warehouse work in the same way, without opening each receipt.

Vendor and address details on Warehouse Receipts

Warehouse Receipts created from a purchase order now carry the vendor and address details from the order, the same way Warehouse Shipments already carry the customer's details. Vendor, country, post code and city can be used to filter receipts, and the full address is shown on the receipt.

Why it matters: Inbound receipts are easier to find and identify by the vendor that is delivering the goods.

Manage packages from Warehouse Shipment lines

Warehouse Shipment lines now have a Packaging Unit menu, matching the one on Sales Order lines. From the Warehouse Shipment you can open package content and add lines to a package without going back to the Sales Order.

Why it matters: Packing can be handled where the warehouse work happens, and package data stays the same on both documents.

Bug Fixes

One failing shipment no longer stops scheduled posting

When warehouse shipments were posted by the job queue, a single shipment with invalid data stopped the whole run, and the remaining shipments were not posted. The failing shipment is now left unposted and the job continues with the next one, the same way standard batch posting of sales orders works.

Why it matters: Valid shipments are posted on schedule, and you only need to look at the shipments that actually failed.
