Improvements
Item Variants
New toggle to switch between Information Value and Description on the Item Variant Matrix Order page.+
The Item Variant Matrix Order page now includes a button that lets users switch seamlessly between viewing the Information Value and the Description for each variant. Previously, the page displayed only one of the two, requiring users to navigate elsewhere to see the other. This enhancement gives Sales Order Processors greater flexibility when reviewing item variants directly on the order.
Sales Configurator
Added supporting logic for item configuration in the Sales Configurator.+
This release introduces internal supporting logic that expands the current configurator feature set in Master Data Information. The changes lay the groundwork for enhanced item configuration capabilities used together with the Sales Configurator app.
General
Enabled Global Trigger Performance Optimization for all environments.+
The Global Trigger Performance Optimization preview feature is now enabled by default across all Business Central environments upon upgrade. This feature improves the performance of system-wide triggers, reducing overhead and improving responsiveness. The feature flag had been available as a preview for some time and is now considered stable for general use.
Bug Fixes
Archived Entries
Deletion of Information Setup records is now blocked when related archived entries exist.+
Previously, it was possible to delete an Information Setup record even when related archived entries were still linked to it — whether the deletion was performed directly from the Information Setup list page, via the Information Matrix, or from an added field using Specification on other pages. This could lead to inconsistent data and issues with reporting, auditability, and traceability. The system now validates whether related archived entries exist before allowing deletion, and blocks the operation if any are found.
Copy Master Data
Fixed Copy Item failure when copying items with active sales prices under the New Sales Price Experience.+
When the New Sales Price Experience feature was activated in Business Central, using the Master Data Information Copy Item function to copy an item with active sales prices would fail with an error if the Allow Editing Active Prices option was not enabled in the Sales & Receivables Setup. The standard Business Central Copy Item function handled this scenario without issue. The fix aligns the Master Data Information Copy Item behavior with the standard function, allowing items with active sales prices to be copied regardless of the Allow Editing Active Prices setting.
Item Attribute Synchronization
Fixed synchronization between Information Codes/Values and Item Attributes/Values.+
The synchronization between Information Codes/Values and Item Attributes/Values was not functioning correctly despite the setup being configured properly. This has been resolved, and changes to Information Codes and Values now synchronize as expected with their corresponding Item Attributes and Values.
Redesign
General
Updated reference to the deprecated Item Age Composition – Qty. report ahead of BC28.+
The Report Item Age Composition – Qty. has been marked for removal by Microsoft and will be merged into the Item Age Composition – Value and Quantity report in a future release. This update addresses the BC28 deprecation warning by updating the internal reference, ensuring forward compatibility when the report is removed.
