Option to mark relevant litigation experience in time registration (3180)

It is now possible to mark a time entry as Relevant Litigation Experience. This feature makes it easier for users to document their experience for authorities and other purposes. (3180)

  • A new checkbox ‘Relevant Litigation Experience’ has been added to both time entries and case entries.

  • The marking is done manually during time registration.

  • The field is not visible by default and must be customised on relevant screens.

Note: This functionality is not available in Outlook.

Improved blocking of time registration in closed periods (3166)

Blocking of time registration in closed periods has been improved so that users can no longer edit or enter time registrations in periods that are closed. (3166)

It is no longer possible to view other users’ time registrations (2152)

It is no longer possible to switch employee in the Time Registration page. Users can now only see their own time registrations. If access to all users’ time entries is required, the field Allow showing all time entries can be enabled in User Setup.

Note: This restriction only applies via the time registration views in the Role Centre. It is still possible to view case entries (posted time entries) on the cases the user has access to. (2152)

Invoicing

The time specification can now be sent with the invoice email as a separate PDF (3156)

It is now possible to automatically attach a separate time specification to the invoice email:

  • The time specification uses a Word layout, allowing the appearance to be customised individually.

  • The content of the report is controlled via different layouts.

  • It can be set up at both client and matter level which layout should be used, and can be changed on the sales invoice before posting.

Error message when reversing an invoice has been updated (3197)

Change of error message when reversing a settled invoice

The previous error message:

‘Remaining amount on invoice must match original amount in order to reverse the invoice’

has now been changed to:

‘The invoice cannot be reversed because it has been settled. To reverse the invoice, you must first cancel the settlement.’

This change makes the message more user-friendly and provides clear guidance on what the user needs to do. (3197)

Finance

Task queue indicators added to the Accountant Role Centre (3057)

The indicators Overdue Tasks, All Tasks and Overdue Workflow, which were previously only available in the Abakion Legal Basic Role Centre, are now accessible in the Accountant Role Centre.

By default, the indicators are hidden and must be activated via Personalisation. (3057)”

Reporting of client deposits on joint accounts to the banks (3170)

From 1 January, new legislation in Denmark comes into effect requiring lawyers to submit identity information for clients with funds in a joint client accounts.

It is now possible to generate a list of the clients that must be reported to the banks and export a file in Danske Bank’s format. (3170)

It can now be configured which summary codes are displayed in the Payment Agent (3168)

It is now possible to specify whether a summary code can be selected when creating a new payment from a matter. This is controlled via the field Show in Payment Agent, which should be ticked if the summary code is to be selectable.

When the app is installed, all summary codes are marked by default to ensure existing functionality is maintained. Afterwards, the tick can be removed from the summary codes that should not be available. (3168)”

Bug Fixes

Case work

Error message updated when transferring timers to archived matters (3200)

After the latest version of the app, it is no longer possible to register time on archived or blocked matters. When users transferred a timer for an archived matter, it caused a technical error in BC and an incorrect message in Outlook, which said that the time entries had been transferred – even though they had not. Now a clear message is displayed in both BC and Outlook stating that the time entries cannot be transferred because the matter is archived or blocked. (3200)

Conversion of party to client has been fixed (3178)

The function that converts a Party to a Client previously failed with the message ‘Sorry, we just updated this page...’. The issue has now been resolved, and the function works again. A message has been added to explain that if the party is converted to a client, it will receive a new number from the client number series. (3178)

Tasks with long descriptions can now be closed again (3167)

Previously, tasks with a description of more than 100 characters caused an error after the description field was extended to 300 characters. This issue has now been resolved, and tasks with longer descriptions are handled correctly. (3167)

Activities in Role Center were not loaded (3158)

Activities in the Abakion Legal Basis Role Center could fail if an employee had relations to many matters, as the filter for Amount to Invoice became too long. It is now possible to specify which relations should be used by setting a filter in the field Amount to Invoice Relation Code Filter under Invoicing Setup. (3158)

Extended matter reference in email subject (3155)

It is now possible to use Extended Matter Reference in the subject field of emails.

If the Send Email button should use Extended Matter Reference, the field Email Subject Name Field in Outlook Setup must be changed to Extended Name. You can choose between Name, Extended Name, and Short Name.

For emails created via New Interaction on the matter, the email subject setup must be adjusted on the template. A merge field #extmattername# has been added for this purpose. (3155)

Issue with incrementing client number series when creating customer card (3115)

When a user created a new client and manually created the customer card using Shift + F7, the client number series was incremented by one. This caused gaps in the number series for the next client, even though the customer card was only meant to be adjusted before matter creation (e.g., for group guarantees). This error has now been fixed. (3115)

Display of minutes corrected in “Time Report Resource per Period” (3175)

Time registrations of 5 minutes were previously displayed as 00:04 when the Hours setting was selected. This is now corrected so that 5 minutes is shown correctly as 00:05. (3175)

Filter in “Update Relations” report corrected (2994)

An error in the Update Relations report has been fixed, where it was previously not possible to look up in the filter field Responsible Lawyer. (2994)

Invoicing

Error message removed after posting invoice (3188)

An error has been fixed where users could see the message “The record in the Contact Entry table already exists…” after posting an invoice if they selected No to opening the posted invoice. (3188)

Translation error corrected (2765)

Translation/spelling error corrected in the message when an invoice is reallocated. (2765)

Finance

On-hold Comment added to Client/Reminder List (3119)

The field On-hold Comment from customer ledger entries has been added to the Client/Reminder List report to provide better insight into entries not included in the reminder process. (3119)

Create Reminders corrected to handle long document numbers (3183)

The Create Reminders function failed if document numbers had more than 10 characters. This is now fixed. (3183)

Printing of Overdue Customer Entries corrected (3181)

The Overdue Customer Entries report could not be printed if the client’s master data exceeded 80 characters. This is now resolved. (3181)

Change of administration code on bank accounts corrected (3176)

When a bank account was blocked because the administration code was not set up with value posting Same Code, the setup could not be corrected. Instead, the process locked with the error: “Bank Account = '' does not exist.” This is now fixed. (3176)

Change reconciliation with group liability failed (3173)

An error made it impossible to create change reconciliations when the group liability functionality was enabled. Users received the error:

“The length of the string is 26, but it must be less than or equal to 20 characters…”

This is now fixed, and change reconciliations work as expected. (3173)

Field “Belongs-to Group No.” visible again on bank accounts (3136)

The field Belongs-to Group No. on bank accounts, which indicates whether a client account belongs to a group, had previously disappeared from the screen. It is now visible again. (3136)

Error in Payment Agent corrected where contact type could change to VENDOR (3053)

When a system vendor was created for a client in the Payment Agent, the contact type on the client card could incorrectly change to VENDOR. This error is now fixed. (3053)

Administration code now correctly filled in the journal for year-end closing (186)

When the Reset Income Statement function created the journal for year-end closing, the administration code was previously not filled in on the line with the year’s result. This is now corrected, and the code is filled in correctly again. (186)

Outlook integration

Error when moving files (3182)

Previously, several issues occurred when moving files:

• The matter history was not updated automatically when files were moved to subfolders.

• Files were not removed from the original subfolder when moved to a root folder.

• An extra root folder was created with the subfolder’s name.

These issues are now resolved. File moves work as expected without manual synchronization, and duplicate folders are no longer created. (3182)

Linking parties corrected (3174)

A technical error in Business Central prevented linking relations to a matter in the Outlook add-in if a blank contact type existed. This error is now fixed. (3174)
