New Features
Time Specification layout code can now be specified in the CMI form (3355)
It is now possible to specify a Time Specification layout code directly in the CMI forms for client creation. The field has been added in the Commercial information group on the forms.
The Time Specification layout code is automatically populated from the client's customer template. The field can be changed before the matter and client are created. Upon creation, the value is transferred to both the client and the matter.
Field for registering client type (3330)
The Type of Client field has been added to the client/matter creation. The field indicates the client's legal form and is used in connection with KYC risk assessment.
Possible values: (empty), Listed company, Public authority, Limited liability company, Sole proprietorship, Consumer, Association, Foundation, Trust, Personal asset management company, Company with nominee shareholders, Cash-based Company, Third-country national applying for residency.
The field appears on:
- New client/matter creation
- Client/matter creation
Functionality:
- If "Consumer" is selected, Client is Consumer is automatically set to Yes.
- The field is automatically populated from the CMI template or from the contact card if the client already has a client type registered.
- The field is only editable if no existing client with a filled-in client type has been selected.
- When a new client is created via CMI, the client type is transferred to the client card.
- The field can be made mandatory via the CMI template's mandatory field setup.
Automatic time entry at matter creation (3350)
It is now possible to automatically create a time entry when a new matter is created via CMI (the client/matter creation process). The feature is controlled from CMI Setup and can be configured with quantity, work type, and description.
Two scenarios are supported:
- Time entry at matter creation Every time a matter is created via CMI, a time entry is automatically created on the matter. You configure this with the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Matter Time Quantity | The number of hours to register. If the field is left empty (0), no time entry is created. |
| Matter Time Entry Work Type | The work type used on the time entry. |
| Matter Time Entry Description | The text shown as the description on the time entry. |
- Time entry for KYC-required matter creation If the matter requires KYC (anti-money laundering check), a separate time entry can be created to cover the KYC work. You configure this with the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| KYC Matter Time Quantity | The number of hours to register for KYC work. If the field is left empty (0), no time entry is created. |
| KYC Matter Time Entry Work Type | The work type used on the KYC time entry. |
| KYC Matter Time Entry Description | The text shown as the description on the KYC time entry. |
Time entries are created automatically when the matter is established, and are registered on the current user and today's date.
Access control for CMI forms (3356)
It is now possible to control whether a user may view other users' CMI drafts. A new setting, See all CMI drafts, has been added to the User Setup page.
When the field is not enabled (default), the user can only see their own drafts – regardless of how the CMI form is opened. When the field is enabled, the user can see all users' drafts, for example as a CMI controller.
Invoice Email CC can now be filled in directly when creating a client/matter (3354)
The "Invoice Email CC" field is now available on both CMI creation forms (New client/matter creation and Client/matter creation). The field appears immediately after "Invoice Email" and is automatically transferred to the client card upon creation. It is therefore no longer necessary to open the client card afterwards to register a CC email address for invoices.
