New Features
New fields and layout changes on the client/matter creation pages (Confidential Matter, Urgent Matter, Client Matters) (3687)+
On New client/matter creation and Client/matter creation a matter can now be flagged as a Confidential Matter or Urgent Matter directly during creation.
Once a client has been selected, a new Client Matters fact box also shows a quick overview: how many matters the client appears in as client, counterparty, or target. These fields are display-only.
"Target" is a relation type alongside "Client" and "Counterparty", set up in Abakion Legal Setup as one of the three configurable relation types that drive the count in the Client Matters fact box. The role is typically used to flag the company or person a matter concerns, without being the client or counterparty – e.g. a target company in a due diligence matter.
On New client/matter creation, the page has also been reorganized: the template and controller fields now sit in a new General band at the top of the page, and Employees has been moved out into its own band.
Bug Fixes
Client responsible and other relations were not populated on VAT number lookup in CMI (3597)+
When creating a client/matter in the CMI template by looking up a VAT number instead of the client name, the client's employee relations — including client responsible and any other configured relations — were not populated automatically, even though the client already existed in Business Central. Searching by client name instead populated the relations correctly.
This has now been fixed, so a VAT lookup on an existing client links the client to the matter correctly, populating client responsible and other relations the same way as with a name search.
If the VAT number matches multiple client contacts, a search modal is now shown so the user can select the correct client — in line with how name search already works.
