Prev Next

Feature

The Feature enables you to bundle orders so orders for the same receiver will be bundled togethter on the same Warehouse Shipments.

The Feature lets you create rules for bundling per location and customer.

Setup

App is activated

  1. Make sure that the Abakion Shipping Manager is enabled.

Maintain Bundling Methods

Bundling Methods lets you setup rules for the bundling.

The Basic Bundling Method is a requirement so first you need to check if that one is created. The bundling functionality doesn’t work without the BASIC setup

    1. Go to Warehouse Shipment Bundling Setup

    2. Check that BASIC has been created – otherwise create it

Tip! You can create several bundling codes – for instance if you have different rules for different location codes.

Modify existing Method

1. Find the Bundling Method you wants to edit and click Modify

Setup Bundling Methods per Location

1. Search for Warehouse Shipment Bundling Setup

Shipment creation method filter refers to setup on customer and orders. Hereby you can setup a minimum amount for shipment – or none. If you don’t know which method, you will use – select ‘Amount and None’

Bundle Ship-to Code If merge shipment is accepted you can add order lines from several orders into one shipment, if ship-to method on order is ‘default customer’ or ship-to- codes on more orders are identical. Shipping agent and shipping agent service must also be identical on all orders that are bundled.

Shipment end Date Calculation (Warehouse requests) here you set up how many days from workdate you will use to filter relevant orders – if workdate is 1. October and setup is 5D system will look for orders with shipment date until 6 October in the  warehouse request overview

Shipment end date calculation (line) This is same as above, however system looks for order lines in released orders that meet the date filter criteria.

Setup Bundling Methods on the Customer

On the customer card you can setup various information that will be inserted on sales orders when created.

Example: Minimum Shipment Amount LCY = 1000 and there is two order lines on the customer with a total line amount of 1.500. The 2 order lines will be sent to a warehouse shipment. If total outstanding line amount of the two order lines is 900 system will not create warehouse shipment lines.
Please note that it is the shipment creation method on the order that is used when calculating relevant order lines that can be sent to warehouse shipment.

1. Go to the Customer Card

Shipment Creation Method â€“ here you can select None or Amount

  • ‘Amount’ - Minimum Shipment Amount (LCY) is used to calculate if your order lines in one or more orders fulfill the minimum ship amount.

  • ‘None’ – system only checks if order lines meet the date criteria

Merge Shipments â€“ Pls activate if you want to combine several sales orders into one warehouse shipment

When you create sales orders above settings are inherited on the sales order, and can be changed manually on the sales order.
