Improvements New Feature

General

Sell rented items directly to the customer on return, and cancel uninvoiced rental lines.+

Sell rented items to the customer
During a partial return you can now mark individual items to be sold to the customer instead of returned. The app creates a sales line on the existing rental order at the rental location and and post the shipment of the exact sold unit immediately, registered with the correct lot and/or serial number. You can adjust the price before posting the invoice.

Cancel a rental line
If a rental line has been fully returned (and/or sold) but its resource has not been invoiced, you can remove it without posting a zero-price invoice. Use Delete Rental Line on a line (multi-select supported), or Cancel All Rental Lines on the order to clear every eligible line at once.

Consignment scenarios
These features support consignment: items can be moved to a customer location, consumed by the customer there, and then invoiced as a sale.

Setup
Both features are off by default. Enable them in Rental Setup:

  • Allow Sell to Customer — makes the Sell to Customer option available during partial returns.
  • Allow Cancel Rental Line — makes the Delete Rental Line and Cancel All Rental Lines actions available.
