Bug Fixes

General

Corrected quantity assignment in Assign Quantity so inventory cannot be over‑allocated within the assignment period.

We have fixed an error in the Assign Quantity logic that could cause over‑allocation of inventory when creating sales lines within the assignment period.

Previously, in some scenarios the system would:

  • Assign the full requested quantity on a sales line even though only part of it was actually available (for example, assigning 20 pcs when only 10 pcs were available according to the Graphical Inventory Profile), and

  • Allow later demand inside the assignment period to push the available quantity below zero without warning,

  • While the same item and date could trigger the correct validation when a higher quantity was entered (e.g. 40 pcs).

The assignment logic has now been corrected so that:

  • The system never assigns more than the real available quantity within the assignment period.

  • Inventory is not allowed to go below zero due to forward demand inside the assignment period.

  • The user is consistently warned when the requested quantity exceeds the actual available quantity (regardless of whether the user enters 20, 40, or any other quantity).

This ensures consistent and reliable quantity assignment, prevents overselling and negative inventory positions, and improves trust in the availability overview.
