Data Template Ownership Fix: Ownership of Data Templates is now preserved during sync, preventing accidental overwrites and ensuring consistent partner group management.
Bug Fixes
General
Stabilizing data exchange and synchronization across master companies
Issue:
A bug was identified in the Global Master Data Sync (GMDS) app where the “Global Master IC File Log” would encounter an error if the associated file did not exist.
The error message displayed was:
“Detail File Log Header Code: No. of File Lines must be 2 not only 0”.
This issue affected environments where the customer did have a short retention period for the relevant tables, resulting in missing file logs and errors during file handling.
Resolution:
The logic for handling missing IC File Logs has been improved. The system now gracefully manages cases where the file does not exist, preventing the error and allowing the Global Master IC file to be read or handled as expected.
Impact:
Prevents errors when IC File Logs are missing.
Ensures smoother operation of the Global Master Data Sync app in environments without retention policies.
Overwriting Ownership of Data Template
Issue:
A bug was identified in the Global Master Data Sync (GMDS) app where the ownership of a Data Template could be unintentionally overwritten. This occurred when a new Data Template with an existing code was created in the Master company and sent to a Master-Subscriber company that already had a Data Template with the same code but a different owner. As a result, the Master Partner ID in the subscriber company was overwritten, causing issues with data synchronization and partner group management.
Resolution:
The logic for handling Data Template ownership during synchronization has been corrected. Now, when a Data Template with an existing code is sent from the Master to a Master-Subscriber company, the ownership is preserved, and the Master Partner ID is no longer overwritten. This prevents conflicts and ensures correct handling of Data Templates and Partner Groups across environments.
Impact:
Prevents accidental overwriting of Data Template ownership in Master-Subscriber setups.
Ensures stable synchronization and management of Data Templates and Partner Groups.
Reduces risk of data setup inconsistencies in multi-company environments.
